Your Dedicated CA, Inside Variabl : An Expert who already has your numbers open.

Variabl gives you a dedicated Chartered Accountant inside the product, on the Pro and Elite plans. Not a support queue, not a chatbot with a disclaimer : one CA assigned to your account, backed by a team of finance experts, who can already see your invoices, your income and your filing history. You reach them from "Talk to my CA" in the sidebar. They reply on WhatsApp, usually within 30 minutes. And every return that leaves Variabl - GST, ITR, LUT, carries their sign-off, not an algorithm's.

Why does "I have a CA" still feel like you don't have one?

You do have a CA, most independents do. And the relationship looks likes this. You message them in June whether to register for GST, then they ask you to send your invoices and you export a spreadsheet or a zip folder of all your PDFs. They come back with a question about one line item from March, you open that invoice to check again.

Three weeks later you have an answer, and by then the question has changed. None of that is your CA being bad at their job. It's that your CA and your business live in two different places. Everything they need is in your system and everything they know is in theirs and the gap between the two gets crossed by you, manually over WhatsApp, in fragments and over the course of four times in a year.

The gap is the whole problem, not the advice. The logistics of getting them enough context to give it.

What does "dedicated" actually mean here?

It means one CA, assigned to your account, who stays yours.

Open 'Talk to my CA' and their profile is sitting there : name, specializations, years in practice, number of clients served, rating. One of our CA's is an All India Rank Holder and has 12+ years in service. You know exactly who is handling your money before you've asked them anything.

How do you actually reach them?

Four ways and you pick per question.

  • WhatsApp : for the quick ones, typical reply is in 30 minutes. This is where most of the relationship happens.
  • Book a Call : their calendar is in your dashboard and pick a slot that suits you.
  • Request a callback : when you'd rather they called you.
  • A direct line : for when it's urgent and you don't want to type.

The point of four channels isn't choice for its own sake. It's that "should I register for GST?" and "I've received a notice" are not the same kind of questions and neither should be routed through the same slow, formal process.

What changes when they can already see your numbers?

This is the hard part that's hard to appreciate until you've stopped doing it. Your CA works from the same live records you do - invoices, payments, TDS, registrations and certificates, GST and ITR. It is one of set of records and both of you are looking at it.

So the conversation doesn't start with you assembling evidence.

No re-sending the Excel. No "can you share the March folder again". No answer that's hedged because they're working from a summary you typed out from memory. And no lag between you asking and them having enough to answer.

Where does Maya end and your CA begin?

Fair question, and the answer is a hard line rather than a blurry one. Maya prepares. Your CA signs off.

Maya builds your GST return from the invoices already in Variabl. She keeps your advance tax estimate current across all four cycles. She drafts your ITR from your real income records. She tracks deadlines and flags what needs attention. She does the volume work : the classifying, the arithmetic, the remembering.

She does not file. Nothing statutory leaves Variabl without a Chartered Accountant reviewing it and putting their name on it.

And when a question moves from mechanical to consequential, Maya says so and hands you over. Ask her whether you should register for GST with two US clients and she'll give you the threshold, explain that export of services is zero-rated, and then tell you to take the decision to your CA : with a button to do it in the same message.

Who sees my data, and can I stop it?

Your CA sees what you allow them to see, governed by an explicit consent toggle in your settings : invoices, expenses, personal details.

In plain terms:

  • What they see : your financial records, each category under your control.
  • Why they see it : to file your taxes and GST, and to advise you on compliance. That's the whole list.
  • Who sees it : your dedicated CA and their team. Nobody else, never sold.

You can turn it off anytime.

I already have a CA, do I have to switch?

No, plenty of people come to Variabl with a CA they trust and have no intention of leaving : a family CA, someone who's handled their filings for a decade. Keep them. The software half of Variabl (invoicing, clients, records, Maya) works perfectly well while your existing CA continues to file, and your records being clean and current makes their job easier too. The dedicated CA is there for people who don't have one, or who have one but not the access. It's not a condition of using the product.

You store it once, MAYA handles the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Is it a Real CA or an AI?

A real CA backed by a team of finance experts. Maya, our AI, prepares the work : returns, estimates, classifications. Your CA reviews it, advices you and signs off. AI never files anything on its own.

Which plans include a dedicated CA?

Pro and Elite. Pro gives you a dedicated CA plus the expert team, ITR filed for you, advanced tax handles and replies within the 30 minutes. Elite adds GST returns filed monthly or quarterly, advance tax across all four cycles, export compliance, priority support and a quarterly review call.

What can I ask my CA?

Anything about you tax and compliance: whether to register for GST, whether an expense is claimable, how to structure a new client relationship or what a notice means. Because they can see your invoices and income, the answers are grounded in your actual numbers rather than general advice.

I already have a CA, can I keep them?

Yes, use Variabl for invoicing, clients and records and let your existing CA keep filing. Your records will be cleaner and more current than what you were sending them before.

What if I have unflied returns from previous years?

That's what the Custom Plan is for. Unfiled past returns, tax notices, records in chaos, multiple entities : our experts take it over, clean the backlog and keep you current from there. Talk to an expert or book a 15 minute call.
